1999
Started learning my first design program: a bootleg, Russian-language copy of Corel Draw
2008
Started working as a reporter for the Garfield Tribune, publishing stories, photos and graphics every week
2009
Started my first, regular design gig as a marketing associate at Ohio University’s Department of Lifelong & Distance Learning
2011
Moved to Boulder, Colorado
Began my master’s in media research at the University of Colorado at Boulder
Joined TrustIt Labs as lead credibility researcher, working on a browser app designed to fight fake news (actual fake news)
2013
Successfully defended my thesis, “Pins, Portals & Purchases: Examining the Potential for Credibility Carryover Effects on Pinterest”
Joined nonprofit-serving agency Strength in Members as lead UX designer and creative director
